IN-OFFICE SONOGRAMS
Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:00pm (call us at 817.962.0004 to schedule your ultrasound!)
There are multiple great options locally for ultrasounds. We also understand that a lot of times partners and other family members would like to attend your sonogram but aren’t able to miss work. We provide the option of ultrasounds at the birth center on Wednesday evenings. Our in-house sonographer Jeff, owner of Moody Diagnostics, lives in East Texas with his family and has been a sonographer for over 20 years.
You do NOT have to be a current BWCA client, any person in the greater Fort Worth area needing an ultrasound is welcome! (attached photos of moms getting sonos)
CHILDBIRTH CLASSES
We offer monthly classes for different stages of your pregnancy, each taught by our doula team, providing a unique opportunity to connect with them.
- A nutrition class in early pregnancy will guide you to a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle to benefit you and your baby.
- A labor prep series helps prepare couples for the big day by teaching the stages of labor, comfort measures, possible medical interventions, Spinning Babies exercises, and newborn care.
- A breastfeeding class will teach parents breastfeeding techniques, preventing and solving problems, pumping and storage of milk.
- A postpartum class prepares parents for the emotional and physiologic changes in moms after birth, how to know if there is a concern and what to do about it.
HONEST MOMS COMMUNITY + SUPPORT GROUPS
Honest Moms is a community that originated from our midwives' desire to see their clients support each other and thrive through this intense, crazy and amazing journey called motherhood. Prenatal and postpartum mamas are welcome. Several of our providers are involved in organizing the group and there is also a private forum on facebook for virtual communication! We have Honest Moms Meet-ups, Honest Moms Night Out as well as Honest Moms Playdates. Meet-ups are sometimes attended by guest speakers covering hot-topics and always hosted by at least one of our providers.
To guarantee that you're receiving the best care possible, our midwives have collaborated with our most trusted birth-workers to create an optional package add-on to your care!
