Insurance FAQ
Q: What insurance companies are considered in-network for the facility?
Birth & Wellness Center of Arlington, as a facility, is in network with Cigna insurance. We are actively negotiating contracts with other insurance companies to bring more accessibility to families seeking out-of-hospital birth and midwifery care in our community.
Q: What insurance companies is Midwife Leslie in-network with?
Midwife Leslie is in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and Cigna for professional Midwifery Services (Maternity Care & Women's Health).
If your insurance company is not listed above, we are still more than likely able to bill as an out-of-network provider.
Q: Do you accept Medicaid insurances?
We are credentialled with Texas Medicaid, however we are still in the process of securing professional (midwifery care) and facility contracts with several Medicaid plans. While we are unable to bill any Medicaid plans at this time, all clients with an active Medicaid plan qualify for our Community Access Program - an income-based financial assistance program where cost adjustments are made based on a sliding scale. The Community Access Program is open to everyone that meets eligibility requirements. Medicaid coverage is not a requirement for the program.
Q: Do you accept health share programs in place of insurance?
We do! Midwife Leslie is a Preferred Provider with Christian Healthshare Ministries (CHM). A "Preferred Provider" is a status that is similar to an In-Network Provider with a traditional private insurance company.
We do also accept other health share programs, however, each health share program is set up differently. In most cases, your care will be provided under a Private Pay plan where we will then provide you with a superbill that you can submit directly to your health share for cost-sharing reimbursement.
Q: How do I find out my costs for care if I have BCBS or Cigna?
If you have insurance and would like to see if you have any in-network or out-of-network plan benefits, we can verify your coverage with your insurance company to determine what your estimated costs of care might be. This is done through our Verification of Benefits form - this is a free service for all clients. Our insurance specialist will contact your insurance company, find out what your plan covers, any applicable deductible and coinsurance amounts, if prior-authorization or a PCP referral is needed, and anything else that is required to determine your maternity care costs. This process can take 1-2 weeks (depending on the time of year) and can be completed in office at the time of your consultation or online through your client portal.
Fine Print and Limitations:

The information on this page applies specifically to Birth & Wellness Center of Arlington and Leslie Jackson, CNM. We CANNOT bill Medicaid as secondary insurance. If you do have Medicaid and another insurance, we will be happy to talk through your options regarding both insurances.
