Insurance FAQ
Q: What insurance companies are considered in-network for the facility?
We are in-network with Medicaid Wellpoint (formerly Amerigroup). Aetna is credentialed as out-of-network.
Q: What insurance companies are our providers in-network with?
Crystal and Leslie are both in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and Cigna.
If your insurance company is not listed above, we are still more than likely able to bill as an out-of-network provider.
Q: Do you accept health share programs in place of insurance?
We do! However, each health share program is set up differently. In most cases, you will be treated as a self-pay client and process the cost-sharing reimbursement on your own.
Q: How do I find out my costs for care if I have BCBS or Cigna?
If you have BlueCross BlueShield or Cigna insurance, we can verify your plan benefits with your insurance company to determine what your costs of care will be. This is done through our Verification of Benefits form. The cost is $30, and our insurance specialist will contact your insurance company, find out exactly what your plan covers, deductibles and co-insurance amounts, if prior-authorization or a PCP referral is needed, and anything else that is required to determine your maternity care costs. This process usually takes 1-2 weeks (depending on the time of year) and can be completed in office at the time of your consultation. If you would like to complete the Verification of Benefits prior to your consultation so that we have your maternity care costs ready when you come in, you can do that using the button below.
Fine Print and Limitations:
Each of our providers has their own practice. Each practice has a maximum number of patients they can accept each month.
If one of our BCBS or Cigna contracted providers is booked for the month you are due, you still have the option to be in care with one of our other providers.
Each Midwife has a registration fee for services provided within their practice (your maternity care), and if birthing at BWCA, there is also a registration fee for your delivery at our facility.
We CANNOT bill Medicaid as secondary insurance.
